These services include creating a 24-hour, toll-free hot line available in Mandarin, English, and Japanese, making government websites available in English, and providing practical advice on topics such as visas, immigration, etc. These services are designed to help foreign nationals adjust to life in Taiwan and explore the local culture.
而在營造國際友善環境，提升國際服務力方面，行政院整合各部會，提供24小時免付費中、英、日文諮詢服務、架設政府機關英文網站，及入出境與生活相關等配套措施，讓外國朋友更容易親近台灣生活及風土文化。
In order to make these policies more effective, the Executive Yuan’s Research, Development and Evaluation Commission (RDEC) has published "The Handy Guide for Foreigners in Taiwan," available in Mandarin and English. The guide is directed at foreign nationals and local Taiwanese.
而為讓此政策更為落實，行政院研考會彙編中、英文版的「外國人在台生活指南」 (The Handy Guide for Foreigners in Taiwan)，除提供外籍人士使用，也讓國人瞭解內容，藉以協助外籍人士。
The guide provides helpful information on visas and immigration, transportation, culture, travel, food and drink, healthcare, finance, employment, investment, and education. The information and practical tips offered in the guide have been carefully compiled to enhance the experiences of visitors who travel and live in Taiwan.
內容含括簽證、交通、文化與旅遊、飲食、醫療、金融、工作投資、教育等篇章，彙集了各領域的重要資訊及適應生活的在地須知，希望每一位來到台灣的朋友，都能有適居、易遊的台灣體驗。
For example, people aged 15–30 are eligible for the Youth Travel Card. The card allows young adults to take advantage of nearly 800 discounts on tickets, transportation, restaurants, and accommodations.
例如，針對15至30歲青年發行青年旅遊卡，協調公部門及旅遊相關業者形成特惠網絡，提供景點門票、交通、食宿等近800項優惠。
Foreign students and overseas compatriot students who have permission from their schools may also be eligible to apply for work permits through the Council of Labor Affairs. The work permit opens doors to a range of legal employment opportunities.
而對外國留學生及僑生若欲在台工作者，依不同身分，檢附申請書及相關文件，經學校同意，向行政院勞委會申請，取得工作許可後，即可在台灣從事各項合法工作。
