英文新聞業是以【美聯社】的style guide為準
美聯社=The Associated Press (AP)
所以簡稱為 AP style

因為AP是美國最古老的新聞社
馬首是瞻

英語讀者
需要看到他們習慣看到的樣式
才會覺得很自然
比較願意吸收
才覺得這是專業的
有可信度

相反地
如果任何一位英語新聞記者 不願意學習Ap style
在美國新聞界，
那名記者會很長時間只能報導汙水處理問題->就是不重要的新聞啦

也就是不被當作專業人士
被鄙視
我們不能被英語圈讀者看扁

美聯社的規範
主要是數字 和 日期 標題大小寫 人名 工作職稱 的部分

舉例：日期的寫法應該是April 26, 2014

總之 雖然對初學者來說
高達數百頁的Ap style是蠻有壓迫感的

所以我只先舉出摘要

英文翻譯的部份
長期練習遵守AP style

就會習慣而自然了
